Mack finished telling his ghost story as the family sat around the fire pit.
“Mom, can you pass me some more marshmallows for my hanger?” asked Cheese.
Mom reached in the grocery bag for the little white puffy pillows and pulled out an empty bag.
“Uh oh! Looks like we are out. I will run up to the kitchen and get some more. Here is a hot dog, roast that.” said Mom.
Cheese smiled, “Ooo! Even better! I like it when the hot dog is a little crispy and burnt on the outside. Watch this.” And Cheese began to spin his hot dog over the fire.
“Hey Dad. I think we should put up the tent and sleep out here tonight. What do you think?” Mack said.
“I think it is a little too late to pitch a tent. It is 10:00pm, son.We have to start when the sun is out.” said Dad.
“So we are gonna do it tomorrow?” asked Mack.
“That is not what I said, Mack. Let us enjoy tonight and roast these marshmallows Mom just brought back.” said Dad opening a fresh bag of marshmallows.
“What are you guys talking about? It sounds pretty interesting.” Mom said.
Cheese blurted out, “Dad does not want to camp out in the backyard tonight!”
“I can dig that!” Mom replied.
