“You know what we haven’t done in a while, Mack?” Cheese asked.
“DUDE! There are PLENTY of things we haven’t done in a while. No movies, no parks, no traveling, no going to church, and no Waffle House.” Mack replied.
Cheese reminded Mack, “Yeah, all of that is great, but I’m talking about shopping. We haven’t bought any Brix in a long time. I think we need to go get some more.”
Mack teased him, “That’s nice. What you gonna do? Ask Mom if we can go to the store to buy Brix in the middle of a pandemic?”
“I sure am! Watch me!” Cheese grabbed some money from his bank and went downstairs to find Mom. She was on the couch reading a book.
Cheese smiled and said, “Hey Mom! Nice weather we’re having, huh?”
Mom looked over the top of her book, “Eh. It’s not too bad. What do you boys have going on?” She noticed Mack was sitting on the bottom step of the staircase.
“Cheese began negotiating, “Can Mack and I go to Bullseye and buy some Brix?”
Mom replied faster than expected, “Sure you can! I’m not giving you any money though.”
Mack looked on in astonishment.
Cheese said, “Thanks Mom! See you when we get back!” and left.
